Kit is a well-respected community leader and volunteer for many Parker County organizations. She is serving in her sixth term as Mayor of Aledo after four years on the Aledo City Council and is President of the Aledo Economic Development Corporation. She is a founding member of Rotary of Aledo and the East Parker County Chamber of Commerce and volunteers with the Careity Foundation, serves as the District Chair of the Brazos Valley Boy Scouts, and is a member of the CASA Advisory Board just to name a few.
